The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was in 2010's "Badmash Company" with Shahid Kapoor Meiyang Chang, Vir Das. The film received mixed praises. Anushka appeared in a film known as Band Baaja Baraat starring Ranveer who played an American Punjabi girl from middle class who sets up her own wedding-planning company. The film was praised by critics and was deemed to be a surprise success. With Band Baaja Baaraat Anushka's three-film agreement under the Yash Raj Films banner was completed.
